Keithy has left, had a really cool 5 days. Looking forward to catching up with him in a couple of weeks time again in the ‘Burgh. Will be good. Teuchters here we come.
Read MoreWent to Mamma’s in Morzine for dinner. No chips though So ended up with the Pad Thai. Keithy said the burger was very good. Going for fish and chips tomorrow instead.
Read MoreWas up nice and early this morning, heading up the Prodain telecabine to get a bit of skiing in. First time since Katrina and Mikey were out. I was amazed at the conditions of the pistes! Had an awesome lunch and great company. First time skiing with Camille as well. Was really good.
Read MoreArrived in Zurich just before 10. Decided I would have a non-sans gluten day, boy am I paying for it now. Subway for lunch, Club sandwich and 2 beers for dinner. Got my self-assessment done and some work, then slept most of the afternoon.
Read MoreAoife is well annoyed with him now and will growl at him if he comes within a 1 metre of her. She’s not scared of him as she will also walk straight passed him and growl. Not sure what is going on there as normally they are the best of friends.
Read MoreThis is seriously the shortest flight I have ever been on. 25 minutes, Zurich to Geneve in an A320. Think we only go upto about 17000ft. Often it takes longer to get your luggage at the other end. Not even time for a meal service which is probably a good thing as all I have done in the past 24 hours is eat.
Read MoreHere I am, sitting in a hotel room waiting for my A380 flight to Zurich. Can’t wait for the 13 hours of fun and excitement to beginning. Zurich is a new A380 destination for SQ. I believe this is the first flight to ZRH in the A380 by Singapore Airlines.
Read MoreI’m watching some silly movie with the kid from Weeds in it. Think its called “It’s Complicated”. What a load of rubbish. Waiting on my vegie meal so I can then go to sleep. I’m actually really hungry as I have eaten since dinner last night (was a really nice bbq at Dads). All full now.
Read MoreWe have been planning for weeks to go out today, just Greg and I. It’s chucking down in Seytroux, so who knows what it will be like in Morzine or Avoriaz. Oh, what to do. Obviously made worse by my paranoia of not getting home or the car (with snow tyres) sliding off the road.
Read MoreFirst up we head down through the trees to the bottom of the Pleney, then up in the chair lift, rather than bubble as the bubble had a massive queue. Then got on the other chairlift to the top of the Pleney. From there we headed to up another chairlift and down towards Les Gets.
Read MoreHad a fantastic day skiing with Keithy and Davey but absolutely shattered now. Slopes were in amazing condition especially after the recent snow falls in the area. An early night and an early start tomorrow, I think.
Read MoreNow, ignore me in this photo but Rupert is huge. This photo I believe was taken one night when I was fast asleep and had no idea (thanks Greg). How small is Aoife? How cute is Aoife? I can’t believe how large Rupert is. He’s adorable though.
Read MoreChristmas was good. Brent, Deb, Todd, Alex, Sam, Emma, Jason, Katrina and Fiona were all here. We spent the morning skiing and the evening eating, was in bed by 22h00. Was exceptionally tired. I think they all had a good time.
Read MoreIt’s a cold Sunday in Seytroux. The fires lit, Greg’s out visiting hopefully another ChaletBook chalet, Aoife is a sleep and Ruperts inside. Not as cold as it has been though. We had snow about 2 weeks ago and more forecast this week. It’s on everyones mind if it will be a good or bad season.
Read MoreI have escaped with Aoifie and hidden in the bedroom. Ruperts on the window ledge with his usual unimpressed look. Probably wondering why we have an elevated flat surface (table) in the middle of his “fall asleep in front of the fire spot”. It must be bizarre for a cat living with huuuumans.
Read MoreWith temperatures forecast to plummet well into the negatives by the end of the week and the valley expected to be covered in duvet of snow, I am wondering if the woodman will ever come. It’s Tuesday morning and I am cold. The electrics are all on but only just keeping the house warm, we really do need to burn wood to keep this place warm.
Read MoreNo, it can’t be correct! Seytroux, Morzine, St Jean d’Aulp will not be standing if a wind of 341mph comes through. Not too bothered about the wind chill. Can cope with that. -18C (temperature not wind chill) is quite cold though. It must be a mistake, right? It’s a mistake. It said the same thing yesterday as well.
Read MoreBeen to Dr Masson in Montriond and he gave me lots of drugs. The French seem to like drugs. Apparently the doctors make money from them but that may just be rumour. Think they are just masking the pain though rather than fixing the problem. Got to get it better before everyone is here for skiing/blading. Not long now *yay*.
