Read MoreThe cyclone that is about to hit QLD borders looks horrendous. They aren’t having a good time of it on the east coast of Australia. What is up with the weather? Hopefully, it’s not as bad as it looks. The weather people have been wrong before. Fingers crossed (and toes) for all of those that it effects.
Read MoreThe best gluten free pizza I managed to get was at The Good Life Pizzas (I think that is what they are called) on Hutt Street a couple of doors down from the General Havelock. Not really good but definitely better than anything else I have had. The GF pizza from Pizza Capers was to be honest, horrid.
Read MoreThat’s me all booked up for Adelaide again. Start of November for 2.5 weeks. Still have that long wait in Singapore unfortunately. Hopefully they will be able to get me into the hotel. I so hope so, will be a very unhappy Miffy if I don’t. 19 hour in the airport without a bed after flying all day will be torture!
Read MoreWell updates are going to be pretty rubbish. The flight tracker is still saying 121ft above the ground and over China. We are also heading north but the aircraft is actually pointing south-east. As long as it’s not correct, I think we have a 6 hours to go. Hope so.

Read MoreI have piles of clothes that need washing and with this absolutely rubbish weather it’s just not happening. Actually to tell you the truth, even without this awful weather it wouldn’t be happening!
Read MoreFatigue (also called exhaustion, lethargy, languidness, languor, lassitude, and listlessness) is a state of awareness. It can describe a range of afflictions, varying from a general state of lethargy to a specific work-induced burning sensation within one’s muscles.
Read MoreHad a fantastic day skiing with Keithy and Davey but absolutely shattered now. Slopes were in amazing condition especially after the recent snow falls in the area. An early night and an early start tomorrow, I think.
Read MoreNow, ignore me in this photo but Rupert is huge. This photo I believe was taken one night when I was fast asleep and had no idea (thanks Greg). How small is Aoife? How cute is Aoife? I can’t believe how large Rupert is. He’s adorable though.
Read MoreChristmas was good. Brent, Deb, Todd, Alex, Sam, Emma, Jason, Katrina and Fiona were all here. We spent the morning skiing and the evening eating, was in bed by 22h00. Was exceptionally tired. I think they all had a good time.
Read MoreI have escaped with Aoifie and hidden in the bedroom. Ruperts on the window ledge with his usual unimpressed look. Probably wondering why we have an elevated flat surface (table) in the middle of his “fall asleep in front of the fire spot”. It must be bizarre for a cat living with huuuumans.
Read MoreWith temperatures forecast to plummet well into the negatives by the end of the week and the valley expected to be covered in duvet of snow, I am wondering if the woodman will ever come. It’s Tuesday morning and I am cold. The electrics are all on but only just keeping the house warm, we really do need to burn wood to keep this place warm.
Read MoreNo, it can’t be correct! Seytroux, Morzine, St Jean d’Aulp will not be standing if a wind of 341mph comes through. Not too bothered about the wind chill. Can cope with that. -18C (temperature not wind chill) is quite cold though. It must be a mistake, right? It’s a mistake. It said the same thing yesterday as well.
Read MoreBeen to Dr Masson in Montriond and he gave me lots of drugs. The French seem to like drugs. Apparently the doctors make money from them but that may just be rumour. Think they are just masking the pain though rather than fixing the problem. Got to get it better before everyone is here for skiing/blading. Not long now *yay*.
Read MoreWent to Champion and there were barely a few flakes falling from the sky. However, on the way home, it decided to bucket down. I chugged my way through St Jean d’Aulps, up passed St Martin, then through Seytroux to the bridge.
