The cyclone that is about to hit QLD borders looks horrendous. They aren’t having a good time of it on the east coast of Australia. What is up with the weather? Hopefully, it’s not as bad as it looks. The weather people have been wrong before. Fingers crossed (and toes) for all of those that it effects.

Gluten Free stuff in Adelaide

Gluten Free stuff in Adelaide

The best gluten free pizza I managed to get was at The Good Life Pizzas (I think that is what they are called) on Hutt Street a couple of doors down from the General Havelock. Not really good but definitely better than anything else I have had. The GF pizza from Pizza Capers was to be honest, horrid.

Adelaide bound again…

Adelaide bound again…

That’s me all booked up for Adelaide again. Start of November for 2.5 weeks. Still have that long wait in Singapore unfortunately. Hopefully they will be able to get me into the hotel. I so hope so, will be a very unhappy Miffy if I don’t. 19 hour in the airport without a bed after flying all day will be torture!

Wednesday… Seytroux Bridge Club Meet At Ours!

I have escaped with Aoifie and hidden in the bedroom. Ruperts on the window ledge with his usual unimpressed look. Probably wondering why we have an elevated flat surface (table) in the middle of his “fall asleep in front of the fire spot”. It must be bizarre for a cat living with huuuumans.

Will we have wood? A ramble about nothing really!

Will we have wood? A ramble about nothing really!

With temperatures forecast to plummet well into the negatives by the end of the week and the valley expected to be covered in duvet of snow, I am wondering if the woodman will ever come. It’s Tuesday morning and I am cold. The electrics are all on but only just keeping the house warm, we really do need to burn wood to keep this place warm.

Wind Chill -37C | Wind 341mph (Is this correct?)

Wind Chill -37C | Wind 341mph (Is this correct?)

No, it can’t be correct! Seytroux, Morzine, St Jean d’Aulp will not be standing if a wind of 341mph comes through. Not too bothered about the wind chill. Can cope with that. -18C (temperature not wind chill) is quite cold though. It must be a mistake, right? It’s a mistake. It said the same thing yesterday as well.

Damn Back, London Cancelled!

Damn Back, London Cancelled!

Been to Dr Masson in Montriond and he gave me lots of drugs. The French seem to like drugs.  Apparently the doctors make money from them but that may just be rumour. Think they are just masking the pain though rather than fixing the problem. Got to get it better before everyone is here for skiing/blading. Not long now *yay*.
